VALUE PROPOSITION

We create value through high-performance asphalt binders that reduce maintenance costs and environmental impact

Our Development Strategy

Product Development & Innovation

We focus on verifying the most suitable Alberta bitumen feedstock for producing target binder grades while developing a portfolio of performance-grade asphalt binders that meet modern specifications. In addition, we are exploring specialty carbon-conscious derivatives, including carbon fiber precursors and advanced composites, as emerging secondary markets. Our approach is strengthened through collaboration with industry experts, universities, and government partners to validate product performance under diverse operating conditions.

Technology & Process Advantage

Our small modular facilities combine low capital intensity with a near-zero emission profile through electrification, reduced operating temperatures, and minimal water use. The process maximizes the conversion of Athabasca bitumen into high-yield binders that retain the value of long-life molecules. By integrating circular economy practices, we ensure that byproducts are efficiently utilized, minimizing waste and reducing logistics-related emissions throughout production.

Environmental Transition

We eliminate high-carbon refining steps to achieve near-zero facility emissions and substantial lifecycle CO₂ reductions. Our products are marketed as sustainable “green road” materials that extend road life and reduce the frequency of repairs, contributing to long-term infrastructure resilience. Through alignment with Canada’s carbon pricing framework and international environmental standards, we further enhance sustainability while fostering Indigenous and community partnerships that support shared economic growth and skills development.

Office

Intellectual Property

We protect our proprietary process designs and modular equipment through patents, trade secrets, and specialized technical know-how. This comprehensive intellectual property strategy safeguards our innovations, strengthens defensibility, and secures long-term competitiveness. By continuously refining our technology and preserving critical process knowledge, we maintain a leading position in sustainable asphalt and bitumen innovation.
